If you're after an authentic Japanese experience, this traditional hotel is a great option. Located close to shops, restaurants and ski slopes, you'll have easy access to everything. the rooms, while small, are charmingly decorated in Japanese style. Though the bathrooms are basic, they are kept very clean. the hotel staff are more than happy to help you with any needs you have, and there's even a bar/coffee shop located nearby. the only downside is the chilly temperatures at night.

I had a fantastic stay at a beautiful spot in Nozawa. The room was clean, modern yet traditional, and well-decorated. The convenience to everything was a major plus. The location was perfect for the fire festival, just a short walk away. The owners of the hotel were lovely and went out of their way to help. Despite a few minor inconveniences, overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. the breakfast was delicious and varied every day. the 30% discount on ski rental was a fantastic bonus. the location was ideal, just a short walk to the ski area and bus station. We also loved the complimentary use of the washing machine. It was very helpful during our business trip.
The WiFi was only available in the lobby, which was a bit inconvenient. We also found the bathroom to be very basic.

During my Christmas stay in this hotel, I enjoyed the cozy rooms with comfortable tatami mats and the convenient ofuro that was cleaned daily. The location was perfect and situated near many famous restaurants. I also loved the shops that rented high-performance ski equipment, which allowed me to take on the snowy mountain effortlessly.
One thing I didn't like about the hotel is that the check-out time is too early at 10 AM, which didn't give us enough time to ski in the morning. the walls in our room were too thin, and we could hear noise from the other rooms.
